Classes

At Bobbi’s Pole Studio our classes are designed to suit all types of students, from Beginners to Advanced, industry to non-industry and everyone in between. All courses are taught across an 8 week term and consist of a weekly 1 hour session of intense pole instruction combined with dance orientated warm-up and cool down. The student nominates their session time of choice at enrolment which then remains fixed for the duration of the course.

The Teachers follow a course schedule of weekly moves that incorporate turns, lifts, non-weight bearing manoeuvres and combinations, so each student gains strength, flexibility and pole confidence to their desired level. On completion of each term the student can then progress to the next level. The classes can be in one of two studios, After Dark and Cloud Nine.

Most students will start with the Beginners term. These classes are designed to introduce students to the ‘Pole’ and to the range of moves that can be performed given time and practice. Attention is also given to building upper body strength and flexibility, all of which contribute to gaining pole skills. You will learn a fully choreographed routine over the 8 weeks.

Beginners

Once the student has graduated from Beginners, they can enrol in Intermediate 1. This course will revise pole skills gained in the previous course, whilst moving on to slightly more complex manoeuvres that require strength and agility. The student will also be taught dance/pole combinations and invert plus a fully choreographed routine over the 8 weeks.

Now we are getting serious! Not only are we ALL confidently upside down we are going to get you sideways, rightside up and inside out!! Hold on tight for Intermediate 2! You will learn a fully choreographed routine over the 8 weeks.

Considering changing your career? Then Int 3 is what you need – and lots of it!!! Quite physically demanding and acrobatic – we highly recommend 2 courses per week at this level. You will learn a fully choreographed routine over the 8 weeks.

Intermediate 3

=
This is a syllabus of approx 20 base moves. We teach them to you slowly – repeat and revise them and build them into combinations to use for freelance. They are a gentle build-up towards Advanced. There is NO routine so you can focus entirely on the technique and strength required for the moves and go at your own pace to practice them and condition your body for this greater challenge. The moves progress directly on from INT 3 moves.

Prep Advanced 1

This is a MUCH larger Syllabus of harder Advanced level moves that progress from Prep Adv 1. There is a lot of variety! This course can be repeated many times with a constant physical & mental challenge – these harder moves will repeat/rotate and combine into longer and more difficult combinations and freelance. This course will leave you feeling confident, strong, lean, and fit. Use this 8-week course to work on perfecting your technique & building the extra strength you will need before applying these moves to a choreographed routine in our fast-paced & highly challenging ADVANCED Level. There is NO routine.

These classes are available for those students who want to progress to the most complex of Pole Skills. These classes consist of intense warm-ups combined with a very physical session of pole dance/pole skills. A great deal of upper body and abdominal strength is required for these classes. Advanced level consists of a fast-paced and highly challenging choreographed routine that is broken down and taught over 8 weeks.

Advanced Tricks is for Prep Adv 2 + students who are looking to learn on-trend tricks they may have seen on Youtube, at a recent comp, or something you saw one of your instructors do. You can immerse yourself in a variety of styles led by the incredibly talented Ruby and Mel Grace. There is NO routine. PRE-REQUISITE: Prep Advanced 2

Not quite flexible enough to do the pole moves you would like? Join this 8-week course which concentrates on flexibility exercises specific to pole dancing & getting you down in the splits. This class is also designed to build muscular & core strength, using professional dance techniques that will help you become a better pole dancer! Watch your flexibility double in only 8 short weeks!

Learn a fully choreographed lap dance to a smoking sexy song in our private Cloud 9 studio! Lap dancing is a great workout, it’s damn sexy and confidence building. Your legs & butt will tone up fast in this class. We work with a chair and the floor. No pole experience is needed, just bring yourself, let down your hair and we will teach you how to perform a sultry lap dance.

NOTE: Knee Pads are recommended.

This is a much harder advanced level version of sexy floorwork. This class combines slinky exotic floorwork and basework tricks in a challenging and very sexy routine over the 8 weeks.

A sensual approach to pole dancing. Exotic Pole teaches you the art of exotic flow, sensual spins, tricks, floor, and dance combinations. You will learn a fully choreographed routine over the 8 weeks.

This class is taught with a non-spinning pole and is a completely different routine to the other EXOTIC Classes. Level up your exotic flow in this fast-paced class with advanced pole and floorwork tricks. You will learn a very challenging fully choreographed routine over the 8 weeks.

PRE-REQUISITE: Must be familiar with Exotic and Sexy Floorwork prior to enrolment. NOTE: Not suitable for Beginners and newbies to Exotic.

Visit the contemporary side of the pole with our Lyrical dance class! This class will be taught barefoot, and it will explore the meaningful, emotional expression of self through dance. Learn how to perfect your shapes and lines and focus on performance-worthy transitions. In this course, you will learn a fully choreographed routine over the 8 weeks.
